Traditional floor cleaning products cover everything from everyday maintenance to stripping, polishing and carpet care. Which Floor Cleaner Should You Choose?

Neutral floor cleaners are a good general-purpose option for routine cleaning on suitable hard floors where a milder formulation is preferred. Kitchen floor cleaners are intended for areas where grease and heavier soils may be more common.

For broader applications, multipurpose floor cleaners can suit general commercial maintenance, while carpet detergents, pre-sprays and extraction cleaners are designed specifically for carpet and upholstery cleaning rather than hard flooring.

Cleaner, Stripper, Polish or Maintainer?

Floor strippers such as K-PRO STRIP, Instastrip and Matthews Floor Stripper are used to remove existing floor finishes before recoating.

Polishes and floor finishes such as Instashine and Matthews Floor Polish & Sealer are intended to restore or protect suitable floors, while products such as Instabuff are designed for ongoing polished-floor maintenance and buffing.

These products are not interchangeable, so always check the floor type and manufacturer recommendations before use. Wood, laminate, tile, polished and sealed floors can require different products and cleaning methods.
