Grease Trap

Cleaning products for grease traps and converters.

Are you a business owner in the food industry? If so, then you may be familiar with the importance of maintaining a commercial grease trap. However, what you may not be aware of are the hidden dangers that come with neglecting this crucial piece of equipment. A grease trap is designed to capture fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from your kitchen wastewater, preventing them from entering the sewer system and causing blockages. But when a grease trap is not properly maintained, it can lead to a host of problems that can cost you time, money, and even your reputation. From foul odours and overflowing sinks to plumbing backups and even fines from local authorities, the consequences of neglecting your commercial grease trap can be severe.

Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Grease Trap Cleaning Products

Grease trap cleaning products help businesses manage fats, oils and grease (FOG), odours and organic build-up in commercial kitchen drainage systems. Regular grease trap maintenance is especially important for cafés, restaurants, food service businesses and commercial kitchens where high volumes of grease can enter wastewater systems.

Insinc’s range includes industrial grease cleaners, enzyme-based degreasers, probiotic grease trap treatments, drain maintainers and odour-control products from GreaseGuard, Bio-Zyme, Green’R, Bio-Fresh PRO and other specialist ranges.

Enzyme, Probiotic or Industrial Grease Cleaner?

Enzyme-based and probiotic products are designed for ongoing grease and organic waste management. Options include Bio-UB Probiotic Enzyme for under-bench grease traps, Bio-Fresh PRO Probiotic Grease Trap Cleaner and Bio-Zyme Industrial Degreaser Deodoriser.

For heavier grease-cleaning requirements, GreaseGuard Industrial Strength Grease Cleaner and Green’R Industrial Degreaser provide additional commercial options.

Bio-BUGS and Bio Bugs Drain Maintainer are available for ongoing treatment of fats, oils and grease, while BioFOAM+FOG is specifically listed for fat emulsification and odour suppression.

Maintaining a Commercial Grease Trap

Grease trap products should complement, rather than replace, regular inspection, cleaning and removal of accumulated grease and solids. The appropriate treatment depends on your grease trap design, kitchen volume and maintenance programme.

A dosing pump is also available for GreaseGuard where controlled dosing is required. Always follow the individual product instructions for dosage, frequency and application.
